After-class Readings
There are sources of translation knowledge which can fulfill you about awareness and a variety of language and cultural cases in translation.
I would like you all to read and try to question with yourselves what you have learnt from them. You can read as many as you can. The more you read and learn by yourselves, the larger your word or speech banks will become. Although they look very formal and, sometimes, seem difficult at first glance, keep in mind that it's time to step further. Reading only basic textbooks, short paragraphs and SMSs is not enough. You must be able to gain more than just basic communication.
The online journal articles provided here are of good assistance for standard language immersion and language knowledge broadening.

I will pick some articles from these as assignments to summarize. This is just to help you get a clearer view about each class lecture.
There is also a research study on translation where some findings and examples are useful for you.
